Just south of Beverly Hills and nestled against Cheviot Hills on its west, Beverlywood is a pleasant neighborhood with a little over 6,000 residents and mostly single-family properties. Most of the homes here were constructed between the 1920’s and 1950’s and although many have been treated to wonderful renovations, there are still “fixer-uppers” to be found. Thanks to the efforts of the strong Beverlywood Homes Association, property values are relatively high, making the neighborhood an area to consider for buyers and investors.
There are good Los Angeles Unified School District schools nearby, although many Beverlywood residents elect to send their children to equally convenient private schools. Education is important to the neighborhood’s citizens, considering that a very large percentage of them are college graduates – many with advanced degrees.
- Median household income is approximately $105,000
- Simon Wiesenthal’s Museum of Tolerance is located adjacent to Beverlywood
